Members of my squad were lucky enough to demo the T5 Thermal unit prior to the Holiday break.
Although we weren't able to actually track a person with the T5, we used it as we approached a residence in which we were going to conduct a knock and talk. As we were approaching the residence, we could see through the T5 that the homeowner had placed several cameras on his residence. After noticing this, we were able to adapt our method of approaching the residence without being detected.

Once we were sure that nobody was at home, we waited for a little while until the homeowner arrived. When he finally did, we rushed him and were able to take him into custody without incident. He had a loaded pistol on his person and he said that he was trying to get it out so we could shoot him. A search of the residence revealed how bad it could have been if he would have been at home upon our initial approach. We seized an arsenal from the residence. Everything from sawed off shotguns to rifles that had been modified.

The reality set in on us after we had a chance to conduct our after action review. It is our belief, that if the suspect was at home when we approached and he would have seen us come into view, he could have easily retrieved any of those weapons and possibly shot one of us. But because of your product, we were not only able to see the glowing of the surveillance cameras from quite some distance; we were able to change our approach to the residence.

Everything turned out ok for this incident. But I would hate for some officer to encounter this individual or someone like him and not have the luxury of having the T5 Thermal. This tool is rather inexpensive, but the lives that it could save are what makes me want to be a spokesperson for it. I hope that we at the Anderson County Sheriff's Office purchase some of these for our guys. The T5 is an invaluable tool that anyone can use. I am so grateful that you allowed us the use of it for one weekend. Please feel free to use this testimonial as often as you can. You have made me a believer in the T5. Sir, My name is Lt. Jim ****** with the ***** County Sheriff's Office in ****, VA. We purchased four of your T5 Thermals not very long ago. After several officers trained on them, we assigned them. The unit I had trained on was assigned to Deputy Jason **** who works night shift. Four days after he received it he was assisting another officer in a pursuit. When they bailed out of the car the first officer caught two of them but the driver hit the woods. Deputy **** used his T5Thermal and went into the woods after him. He was able to see him hiding under some brush and walked to within ten feet. He then put down his unit and made the arrest. Please feel free to use this in any advertisement, This thing works!
